Dj Swift wanted to change the type-font of his previous logo up a bit to a cursive-script font style that embodied a classic baseball inspired design; along with the inclusion of his website on the underlying ribbon below his Dj Swift name. We then created ‘grooves’, similar to that found on a vinyl record, along with the city-scape cut into the bottom-half of the record.

After our client approved the featured logo design, we then proceeded in the creation of the Dj Swift Music Logo Style-Guide. Alejandro Menchaca requested we develop a series of logo design concepts centered in-and-around his initials, “A.M..” He also requested we use Stanford(‘s) and University of Southern California’s color guard(‘s) as these are both his Alma Mater(‘s). Below are Three (3) rounds of logo design explorations we created for Alejandro. The final logo design featured above encapsulated the look, feel, and essence Alejandro was aiming for. The ‘slash’ between the letter ‘A’ and letter ‘M’ inside Alejandro Menchaca’s initials, represents ‘division and conflict’. ‘A/M’ (Alejandro / Menchaca) ‘is the bridge to resolve it.’

We expanded the logo/brand/identity of the Law Offices of Alejandro Menchaca logo into the design of Alejandro’s Business Cards. Important to Alejandro in the design of his business cards, was the inclusion of his 3 law offices: Beverly Hills, South Pasadena, and Newport Beach. We placed his newly created logo/brand/identity on the front; along with the cities in which his 3 law offices are located in as the main focal point(‘s). On the opposite side, we put Alejandro’s full-name, title, office addresses and contact info.

CABEC Energy Oasis 2017 Logo Identity

CABEC (California Association of Building Energy Consultants), commissioned Republic Design Company for the design a implementation of the “CABEC Energy Oasis 2017” conference logo identity.

CABEC hosts a yearly conference in a different city in California. This years conference is set to take place in Palm Springs, California. The CABEC conference committee wanted to design a logo that encapsulated the title of this years conference, along with natural elements “wind, water, and sun, (and a lil’ palm tree).”

Founder and Principal of Phil’s Custom Painting, Felipe Estrada S., has been in-business for over 10 years. They specialize in custom paint job projects for in-and-around the home and/or office.

The goal was to create an online presence where current and perspective clients could contact them for project opportunities. We created a wordpress website that featured them in a variety of ways.

Their welcome page is vibrant and informative, complete with welcome, about, service area, testimonials, contact, gallery, and location. It also features Phil’s Custom Painting on popular social media platforms such as: facebook, twitter, linkedin, google+, and instagram.

Credit Coach Rolando Castro had the Credit Repair Solutions logo in JPEG format, but not the original artwork files (in digital/vector format). No worries! We recreated the logo exactly, and were then able to expand the brand by replicating it in a variety of ways (see top image above).

We continued the livery (theme) we created in the business cards on-forward to the design of their Credit Repair Solutions 8.5in x 5.5in postcard/flyer advertisement:

Finally, Credit Coach Rolando Castro requested we create a 24in x 36in poster for him to hang in his office lobby. Just as we did for business cards and postcard/flyer advertisement, we continued the design aesthetics forward into the design of his poster in order to, “tie it all together.” That is, to make all marketing collateral unified in it’s presentation.

Bear River Fitness is the passion project of founder and principal, Alex Osorio. His/their mission is to transform lives through health, fitness, personal development, financial freedom, self-care, mental health and positivity.

The combination of Alex’s last name, “Oso + rio,” translated into English, literally, is “Bear + river.” As such, we creatively incorporated the silhouette of a Bear and a River with adorning elements like tree’s and mountains in the background. We ’rounded’ it out with the organization’s name, “Bear River Fitness,” accompanied with the slogan, “Welcome to the den…”

“Mariposa, (in Spanish)” means “Butterfly, (in English).” As the name denotes, we knew we’d need to incorporate ‘butterfly-esque‘ elements into our design. Next, we knew that Mariposa Bakery (aside from baking a variety of tasty treats), specializes in ‘themed cakes’ for a variety of events, (like weddings and quinceañeras). Like its name implies, Hide Away Bar is tucked-away in the “Commercial Avenue (industrial)” district in Oxnard, CA. The owners wanted to design and produce a casual t-shirt for employees and patrons to wear-to-work and wear out-and-about, respectively.

Our clients gave us complete freedom to come-up-with a simple t-shirt design. As such, we designed and created a ribbon-esque-banner with ” Hide Away Bar” across it. We included the bar’s 3 main focus’ (beer • wine • food) along with phone number and address, prominently featured on back.

Fernandez Jewelers: Business Cards, Screenprint T-Shirts, Website

The Principals of Fernandez Jewelers commissioned Republic Design Company for the design, production, and implementation of their Business Cards, Screenprint T-Shirts, and Website.

First: Logo Recreation… Fernandez Jewelers (conveniently located inside the Centerpoint Mall in Oxnard, CA), is one-in-the-same with Fernandez Fine Jewelry (conveniently located inside the Pacificview Mall in Ventura, CA). We were not asked to design the original logo/brand/identity for either names. We were asked to redesign and recreate them for marketing collateral print and production. As such, we recreated the logo(‘s) in vector format in both color and grayscale.

Now that we had the logos recreated, it was time to start designing the layout of the business cards. Since each storefront is located inside shopping malls prominent to their local market(s), we included corresponding malls logo to each storefront logo/brand/identity respectively.

After business card design and production, we began designing t-shirts, (v-necks and crew), for both Men and Women, in a variety of colors. They are intended for promotional product giveaway to help raise brand awareness.

Next up was the design and implementation of their online presence, www.fernandezjewelers.net. The website was built on WordPress and features all necessary information regarding Fernandez Jewelers. Social media placement amongst popular social media platforms (facebook, twitter, google+, pinterest, and instagram), Fernandez Jewelers is easy to find both online and instore.

Eden’s Storm Troopers T-Shirt Design

Republic Design Company had the great honor and privilege to be commissioned in the design of, “Eden’s Storm Troopers,” t-shirts for the upcoming annual Aut2Run, Autism Society Ventura County, charity event.

Aut2Run is a 5k/10k/’Fun-K’, fundraiser event hosted by the Autism Society of Ventura County. This worthy cause and noble organization supports individuals with Autism and their families with resources and referrals in the Ventura County area of California; (a chapter of the Autism Society of America). 

Our clients supplied us with some great ideas for our design direction:

They asked we incorporate Autism’s “Puzzle” theme, along with elements from the “Star Wars” movies into the design of their T-Shirts. We downloaded the “Stars Jedi font” and laid-out the “Eden’s Storm Troopers” title first. Then, we were asked to design a “Storm Trooper helmet” and somehow infuse “puzzle pieces” into the helmet. NO PROBLEM! Next, we were asked to design crossing “light-sabers” along with complimentary positive reinforcement messages on front and back.

Aut2Run 5k/10K/’Fun K’ takes place April 17. Again, we’d like to thank “Eden’s Storm Troopers,” for the opportunity to assist on such a note-worthy cause…
