Oscar Bonilla (aka ‘Dee’), Principal of “SIKERTHANU, (aka ‘Sicker Than You’), Tattoos by Dee,” commissioned Republic Design Company for the design, implementation and production of his logo/identity, business cards, and t-shirts (forthcoming)…
It appears as if Republic Design Company has been ‘keeping busy’ doing design and production work for Tattoo artists/business owners. We couldn’t be happier working with such incredibly talented and creative individuals. Case-in-point, Mr. Oscar Bonilla (aka ‘Dee’). He approached us with a pencil sketch (featured below) and a vision to make this the face of his new company.
After digitizing his artwork in Vector (.eps) format, he asked we create business cards for him. The front-side of his business card contains all his contact information (website forthcoming, in-the-meantime, his artwork is featured at http://www.facebook.com/sikerthanu), PLUS, a “spot UV mask” for the “SIKERTHANU” logo-type-font (“glossiness” of “spot UV mask” can be seen on image above).
For the back of his business card he wanted to feature some of the premier pieces he’s done thus far. We took the images he provided us and emulated (or tried to) a “polaroid” -esque/type feel laid-out in a quasi-random configuration. The finishing touch was including the following verbiage, “Black & Gray, Color, Custom Tattoos & More…” in a fancy script…
