Araceli Ramirez was ‘ahead-of-the-game‘ by not only providing a detailed design brief of her vision for the Hope Of All Hearts Marriage Family Counseling Center Logo, but she also provided a sketch of what she had in-mind:

hope_of_all_hearts_original_sketch
Hope Of All Hearts Marriage Family Counseling Center Original Sketch

The original sketch has several key elements that were necessary to incorporate into the logo. The outline/silhouette of the horse was one key element as Hope Of All Hearts Marriage Family Counseling Center incorporates equine assisted psychotherapy. There is also a custom monogram with the letters “A.R.” that represent Araceli Ramirez’s initials. Last subtle detail are the 7 bars protruding from the back of the neck of the horses silhouette which is representative of immediate family members.

A series of logo design variations were explored and through the natural course of the design process; new possibilities were discovered and incorporated into the final design.

After our client selected the featured logo design, we then proceeded in creating the Hope Of All Hearts Marriage Family Counseling Center Logo Style-Guide. The Logo Style-Guide is an instruction sheet that helps clients understand the various file-formats their logo is saved in and what the different uses are intended for. We at Republic Design Company pride ourselves on educating our clients on proper logo usage techniques and are always available to assist our clients on an on-going basis…

We expanded the newly created logo/identity of the Hope of All Hearts Marriage Family Counseling Center into the design of Araceli Ramirez’s business cards. All pertinent contact information was laid-out with corresponding custom icons on one side. Monogrammed initials are accompanied with her core value offering(‘s), “Individual, Family, Couples, Group Counseling • Equine Assisted Psychotherapy & Personal Development,” on the other side of business cards.

Whoskie’s Barbershop Logo Design

In light of the Washington Nationals World Series Championship victory last night; I thought I’d share this recent logo design I re-imagined for my barber Ruben Soriano (ig: @barber_gang3) of Whoskie’s Barbershop in South El Monte, CA.

whoskies_barbershop_w_logo
whoskies_barbershop_w_logo

The premise was to employ the iconic “W” of the center of the Washington Nationals logo and mold fonts to work with and around the “W,” as-well-as use the same color scheme as it’s predecessor.

whoskies_barbershop_customized_logo_lettering
whoskies_barbershop_customized_logo_lettering

The “W” is also used as a common counter-culture reference to “West Side,” or “West Coast,” most famously popularized by Westside Connection and other Hip-Hop artist of the time. This, in conjunction with the name of “Whoskies Barbershop,” makes for an amalgamation of similar tastes and shared design livery.

Alejandro Menchaca requested we develop a series of logo design concepts centered in-and-around his initials, “A.M..” He also requested we use Stanford(‘s) and University of Southern California’s color guard(‘s) as these are both his Alma Mater(‘s). Below are Three (3) rounds of logo design explorations we created for Alejandro. The final logo design featured above encapsulated the look, feel, and essence Alejandro was aiming for. The ‘slash’ between the letter ‘A’ and letter ‘M’ inside Alejandro Menchaca’s initials, represents ‘division and conflict’. ‘A/M’ (Alejandro / Menchaca) ‘is the bridge to resolve it.’

Despite what you may believe, “Actors and Actresses need to eat!” The reality is, it takes a small village to put together movies and films. “Ready To Serve • Motion Picture Catering” is a collective of world-class Chef’s that serve a specific niche (Catering) in the Hollywood/Movie/Film/Motion Picture industry. They wanted to employ “Tools-of-the-trade (aka cooking utensils),” in their logo design. After several versions and variations, the Ready To Serve logo was, well, “Ready To Serve…”

After clear communication and fine-tuning the Ready To Serve • Motion Picture Catering logo/brand/identity to the principals satisfaction; we then proceeded in formulating the Ready To Serve • Motion Picture Catering Logo Style-Guide. Bear River Fitness is the passion project of founder and principal, Alex Osorio. His/their mission is to transform lives through health, fitness, personal development, financial freedom, self-care, mental health and positivity.

The combination of Alex’s last name, “Oso + rio,” translated into English, literally, is “Bear + river.” As such, we creatively incorporated the silhouette of a Bear and a River with adorning elements like tree’s and mountains in the background. We ’rounded’ it out with the organization’s name, “Bear River Fitness,” accompanied with the slogan, “Welcome to the den…”

After clear communication and fine-tuning the Bear River Fitness logo/brand/identity to our client’s satisfaction; we then proceeded in formulating the Bear River Fitness Logo Style-Guide. “Mariposa, (in Spanish)” means “Butterfly, (in English).” As the name denotes, we knew we’d need to incorporate ‘butterfly-esque‘ elements into our design. Next, we knew that Mariposa Bakery (aside from baking a variety of tasty treats), specializes in ‘themed cakes’ for a variety of events, (like weddings and quinceañeras). We took all the design direction our client gave us (like color palette and other design direction) and created a series of logo design variations:

VC Property Brothers: Logo, Business Cards, Website

Enrique “Rick” Montaño, along with his brother Daniel “Danny” Montaño, commissioned Republic Design Company for the design and implementation of their VC Property Brothers Logo, Business Cards and Website Design (www.vcpropertybrothers.com).

VC Property Brothers Logo
VC Property Brothers Logo

VC Property Brothers is co-op of brothers Enrique and Daniel Montaño who are both Realtors ® at RE/MAX Gold Coast Realtors in Ventura, CA. It is a take on thee popular HGTV show “Property Brothers,” where twin brothers Jonathan and Drew Scott aim to help couples find fixer-uppers and transform them into their dream homes. Similarly, the “VC Property Brothers,” aim to do the same, in the Ventura County market.

To start. The VC Property Brothers asked we create a logo for them, that encapsulated who they were/their essence so-to-speak. After several design variations, we quite literally took the silhouette of their main, combined, profile picture, that their existing and future marketing campaign was going to be centered around; and use that as the foundation of their logo design. It is set inside a simplified house silhouette that doubles for an “up” arrow, signifying upward mobility and prosperity both, for them and for their clients they humbly serve. Lastly, we made sure to include the VC Property Brothers title inside the logo design, surrounding the perimeter of the logo, in a circular fashion.

Now that their logo was complete, it was time to package and put-together their “Logo Style-Guide.” The Logo Style-Guide is an instruction sheet that helps clients understand the various file-formats their logo is saved in and what the different uses are intended for. We at Republic Design Company pride ourselves on educating our clients on proper logo usage techniques and are always available to assist our clients on an on-going basis…

Next, it was time to move onto the design and production of their business cards. The business cards production needed to complement the ‘dapper’ look-and-feel of Enrique and Daniel Montaño’s profile picture. They opted for a 16 point card stock with silk-laminate look-and-feel, along with spot UV gloss on certain portions of the graphics of the business cards. Included with all pertinent contact information, membership associations, charitable causes, and facebook + twitter links; the cards came-out great…

After designing and producing their business cards, it was time to start designing and producing the VC Property Brothers website, www.VCPropertyBrothers.com. We have incredible photography of Enrique and Daniel Montaño. We have a strong logo/identity/brand design already set in place. Now it was time to pool all these element, online…

www.VCPropertyBrothers.com website
www.VCPropertyBrothers.com website

We built the VC Property Brothers website on WordPress.com. We at Republic Design Company love working in wordpress because, “IT’S FREE!” Only fee our clients have to pay is the annual domain name purchase (which runs approximately $15.ºº on GoDaddy or WordPress).

The VC Property Brothers website comes fully equipped with feature video, contact page, client testimonials, instagram and facebook links. But it doesn’t stop there! One of the most robust features on the VC Property Website is the integration of the sophisticated home-search service option, IDX…

IDX/MLS Home Search
IDX/MLS Home Search

IDX (Internet Data Exchange) is how MLS listings end up on a website.

Also known as Broker Reciprocity, IDX encompasses the policies, rules, and software that allow listings from the MLS database to be displayed publicly.

Anytime you see properties on a website that came from an MLS, it was made possible through IDX.

Most real estate agents and brokers use IDX to simply display MLS listings or home search tools on their website, but as home buyers have become more Internet-savvy, IDX has evolved to encompass more. Agents today have the option to use basic home search tools provided by their MLS, or build more advanced IDX solutions; usually with the help of an IDX vendor.

NOW, anyone interested in searching for properties for sale in the Ventura County area (and beyond), can go to VC Property Brothers website, and serach from a comprehsevie list of available listings!

BONUS:

Along with the aforementioned marketing collateral, Enrique and Daniel casually inquired if we could design their vehicles back windshield graphics. We at Republic Design Company were more-than-happy to oblige. We designed the perforated vinyl graphics and installed them to their vehicles, respectively.

We’d like to sincerely thank Enrique and Daniel Montaño for the opportunity to assist them with their Marketing needs…
